   The scientific names in red is valid name of species, in blue is valid name of genus.

   In case you only know an invalid name or do not know whether the name you input are valid please check this box.

   Have you see the little picture at the bottom right corner in the species info page? That is or .
The former means there are photos for this species whereas the latter means there are not yet.

What are the meanings of the letters in [ ] following some names? 
   [s]=synonyms, [h]=homonyms, [i]=invalid name, [ss]=subspecies, [sg]=subgenus, [in]=included in, [m]=wrong spelling.

Why some subfamilies, tribe, subgenus and other taxa are not listed on the tree? 
   For some taxa which may have phylogentic contradictions were not listed here presently. Please just keep in mind the TREE will be updated time to time.
